It’s time for the feast of Thanksgiving and to give thanks for all our blessings this year. I’m cooking this year, as most years, and I have been working on my menu for a couple weeks now. I have changed it many times but I believe I now have it done. Of course, that is subject to change. It’s mostly the same as every year, with a little additions or deletions each time.
We’re having family and friends over this year. This is one of my favorite meals to prepare as I just love the foods and the left-overs. I’ll be preparing and cooking from tomorrow on through Thursday morning, and I’ll be lovin’ every minute of it.
I’ll be waking up early to get that turkey prepped and in the oven. For the past two years Dan has grilled it on the charcoal grill (indirect method) and it’s been superb. However, he wanted to take a break this time around so I’ll be roasting it in the oven.
I look forward to Thanksgiving morning. After getting the turkey all settled in, I’ll start preparing various other sides and appetizers. I’ll donned my holiday apron, prepare a wonderful Bloody Mary, turn on the Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade and start having fun in the kitchen. I’m not nuts, really. I just love to cook. I’m no gourmet cook, just a good cook. haha
So, ya’ll come on over and enjoy a Bloody Mary, a cold beer, glass of wine, iced tea, whatever your fancy and dinner will be served whenever it’s ready! We’ll have a great and blessed time with family and friends. Fun, food, football, friends and family, and forever memories which we are so thankful for. Gooble! Gobble!
